April is National Financial Literacy Month, a U.S.-based effort to highlight the importance of individual and household financial management by engaging Americans in establishing and maintaining healthy financial habits. Each April, CoreLogic sponsors an awareness campaign in recognition of Financial Literacy with an imperative to invest in developing our own capabilities and increasing employee, and community confidence in personal financial literacy.
Throughout the month, we offer a series of workshops and activities designed to promote financial literacy and increased awareness for all U.S. employees. This year, over 400 employees participated in one of our courses focused on topics such as budgeting, investing, buying your first home and saving for retirement. For the third consecutive year we are investing in developing our own capabilities through personal financial training and discussions.
As part of our Financial Literacy Month engagement, local CoreLogic offices also show their support for our communities by working with Operation HOPE to teach students basic financial concepts and develop the awareness needed to become financially independent. Since 2006, CoreLogic has worked with Operation HOPE to bring financial literacy and economic empowerment to consumers through education.
CoreLogic has a history of delivering financial literacy support to consumers and the communities in which we live and work. We recognize the need for financial education that specifically targets increased knowledge and literacy among Americans on how to manage money, reduce debt and apply key learnings necessary to find their path to financial freedom.
