Raising Awareness and Promoting Diversity
CoreLogic recognizes that diversity enriches both our working environment and our society by bringing together perspectives from a wide range of backgrounds to promote the common good. In this spirit, we celebrate Black History month to acknowledge and commemorate the significant contributions of African Americans. Throughout February, the CoreLogic Dallas campus has organized a range of educational and inspiring events to engage employees all month long.
To kick off the festivities, the Learn More committee in Dallas decorated the office with story boards highlighting influential black leaders, featuring milestone events and crossword puzzles. Employees can also participate in weekly trivia contests, with the weekly winner each Friday receiving a copy of Michelle Obama’s memoir “Becoming.”
On February 19, the office welcomed Judge Kim Cook of the 255th Judicial District Court in Dallas County as a special guest speaker. A graduate of the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, Cook is an active and respective speaker, mentor, volunteer and advocate for civic involvement throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. She shared the insights she’s gained throughout her career with an appreciative audience.
On February 22, the Dallas campus hosted a special fashion show and cultural presentation. The event showcased traditional African attire, which has influenced style around the world, as well as an interactive performance by the Bandan Koro African Drum and Dance Ensemble. The lively event proved to be both exciting and enlightening.
Over the course of the month, employees of CoreLogic have received new perspectives that will help them understand the importance of diversity and inclusion throughout the rest of the year and beyond.
